YOR testing Layar on the Museumplein - LG Exalt VN360
YOR testing Layar on the Museumplein
Fun and cosy nerd alert, here on the Museumplein in Amsterdam.
Stop signs.
Stop signs and one 3D-object.
We're namely looking into the differences with the scale.
If you scale it big, then you can view 3D-objects from a large distance.
And if you keep the scale on zero, you need to stand close within a range of 20 meters.
Look. We see here on a relative alt of... Yeah, I'm getting technical.
We see a little scorpion on the ground.
That's very interesting. According to this thing it's 10 meters away from us, but I think I'm going to kick it.
Ah well, kind of fun. Ouch, my foot!
Going to try it again. See if it works. Because eh...

...otherwise we can forget about it all.
Well sir?
Well look. I don't know if you can see it, 'cause it's a little dark.
But right now, we're standing in the Grand Canyon.
Look guys. The Grand Canyon all around us. Can you see it?
A beautiful ship planted in 3D. 14 meters away we got a good view.
But walking around it in a radius of 5 meters wasn't really profitable.
It has to be like 10 meters if you really want to get behind the 3D-model.
Bree, does it work?
Yeah, on the HTC it works well.
Right away making advertisements.
Of course!
I'd go for the iPhone though.
Well, it's interesting to see the differences between HTC and Motorola.
Because the network seems to fall out on the Milestone.
We're under attack, we're under attack.
We need to walk a little.
'Cause look what we've got there.
It's an alien attack.
There it is. Space Invaders real-time. There!
We're going to see how it looks.
Is it getting bigger or not? Oh, there it is.
9 meters. And now...
No, but look, you can view images on the inside of the laser beam. I couldn't view that before on the iPhone.
That's a really remarkable experience actually.
Everyone who wants to view a UFO on the Museumplein:
User ID: 4655, and developer key: kyd32wgf.
Well, that's simple enough right?
Yeah.
Thank you.
In the end, we also need to eat...
LG Exalt VN360
this is a review sort of thing for the LG
Exalt VN360. I recently got this and first
off, as you can see, it's about the size of
a mouse. My hand is kind of small so it's
not a great comparison. Here is a tape dispenser
and a pencil. The thickness of this is about
1 1/2 of a pencil...it's about 1 1/2 of one
and this is a basic phone. It isn't a smart
phone and it doesn't have a touch screen.
You see there are buttons, the buttons are
big, which is probably nice for people with
larger fingers. It does have most of the functions
of a regular phone where you can change the
settings to have an analog clock or make the

font bigger and set it to a different sort
of menu. Instead of having tabular you can
have a grid
or
a list. And...

way
dave has brought a lot of session
homeowners new tracks is under lease
right now
and where does units are going through
the nada me i've it's very simple very
in journal
let star first unlike the drums I'm sure
everyone's very interested on the
foundation I like how the drum star
and like is there any specific like I go
to
kick drum sounds you get is a sound as I
know you're already made or the
some loops double variations so so
everybody has different techniques to
work
I think when it comes to drums we should
never be ashamed
%uh some playing drums that would like I
always have like a low kick
in the High Kick the low kick is for
obviously the the base feeling and a
high kick
you just EQ a cake that has a lot of
attack
if you want to do that normal level
production
what I would suggest he's at the
beginning at least
use always the same kick when you have a
key base that works
I would say stick to it you know
for the first years because it gives
consistency throughout all your tracks
that
yet so I say so so if you want to do
like normal level
you you have that K if you want to do
that next level production
you keep always the same high kick
which is like the attack and the cake
and you can Choon
low kick in the key
up to track for example if the cake
would be a little too long and will
would mess up with the base
if it's the same key at least is not
gonna mess
all the information she going to use a
setting groove
on you since your base
he should be the same groove everywhere
and if you sample
the loop you need to put
that loop was the same groove than the
rest of your track
because otherwise is the same you don't
really know why
but the Groovies like strange there's a
compy against its of
and that's the worst thing that in the
easiest thing that can happen in a track
is
it difference remains that compete
against each other the net
lands at the track so he can get to next
level that way old
so basically that is the idea
organizing the session and what I do is
a use a template
days already pre organized we have my
favorite like
weaver I have a short weaver long weaver
a delay
in a car s and he's already organized
you don't need to
do devoting every time again because
that's really boring
I have a long kick have a median kick
can have a short kick
what you want is to have the in ideal
world
so date sounds really fat d
detail love the kick should finish
when the base is starting
so of course you know if you have the
key to
that goes up from and the base that will
worm
then and it is doing the same keating
there's nothing more powerful than this
because when you gonna play
on the club system is going to take like
everything how do you know how to do
that to have that therefore the key
you know that the fifth with the
beginning of the base a goddess this two
different ways to do it
very very recently I find a way to do it
that is like
really amazing I can say to actually did
here so I can show it to you
I so this is just a game show but
you had that so now the
this site chain that I'm using on that
base is different
ways to do this I chain but here I've
I've used something that they call
voting shaper
this is this is just drawing an envelope
OVA volume
okay so I know because I joy
that the cake steps here okay but
actually
the full moon base studying here where
the kick
is going down so this way the base
spectrum is Tory full
and then you don't have to cut some
inferences base
exactly but I still do it so
years compressor to give you more
Sundays at least %uh
in that case I would use a compressor it
but
I mean I don't do always 60 in that case
page is it that way I would use a
compressor to glue
kickin bass Florida asthma attack on the
compressor
the low to tomb compresses lead to feel
like it's want because now
what is good is that because the key and
face them play together again
so you can relax you know okay gonna
come to you say businesses the more you
compress to moisture
go to your face but you can not if you
compress
and and take these conflicting then
slept
is horrible okay so you can compress
heart only if its clean bagless
West counts for me is highs though some
the record at the end
so this is a vengeance and
but I was struggling on you know how to
make it some good winning the record so
waded I do it first youth
then there's a fever okay so this is
also something depending on that what
you want to do is to revive it sometimes
is cool too
weaver first and if compress it was a
sight chain
after because it will what's going to
happen
compared to issue senate do for the base
here in weaver
is is don't give life because a when the
station is opening to
the weavers guild take this and is going
to
your love swell you know boosted a
record
and then unlike he still not something
good at putting another
EQ boosting
good 10 have to be always such
everything has to be said and
work for me for me some people doesn't
doesn't work yet
everything everything more or less yeah
you know but I would faces I G
everything
18 Rick you don't need to say chain
twisted keep that you using
everybody's you using the cake I just a
shame but
you if you listen to my record is aw
Afrojack only Camaro possibly says last
year
like how is it possible this aging so
fast
unless you want to call me which is
related like this
but that's on purpose my so he did
because he wanted to sound like this
but sometimes when you played since you
don't want
you wanna have that pumping feel
you so you wanna make the
the moment where december is good
because everybody understands sizing is
basically the volume is going down you
define hire you
when you want to make it go up so its
how deep you wanna go down
and how long is going to take to come
back
what I suggest in the music of today

now in a music I've like seven years ago
five years ago being the music of today
is to do a very short sightseeing paid
to do this
instead of using you kick that has a
tail
may be used something ace shorter
does the trick is you can use different
triggers
so you can use if you listen to
a coalition a pic
of
of
office
gotta that is I
to me I don't know I might say something
wrong because I wasn't
to stay with him but to me it feels like
okay he's used to trigger is very long
on purpose maybe by accident it was
about something cool
skip it so you can use different
triggers
or so depending on what you want to
achieve you can have a very fast trigger
they can also this pushed an attack back
to make it
not really a slender give you a trick my
friend so
okay who says that the trigger needs to
be
on the one mmm you can't put delay
like you can't put did the trigger a
little bit of four
yeah because no one is telling you that
the trio has to be on the one
so if you do is gives you even a faster
your attack min a city like we can spend
days
you must say to know really is this
regard to go
this record for example a pic it
speaking
this Act will be in a red this record
goes against
everything that a train set up in jail I
came here to tell you
they sounds really incredible
why because again
this almost no elements mmm so and
and this so much space good
go vases
playing at the same time with the cake
so that's
1 and then there's the the
the new law is kind of coercion whatever
is used to
to do that sound is very cool it is a
huge
reverb on it again because there's so
much space
that you can put that we've huge is not
going to take too much space
you know yet more landscaped yet because
painting the room
again you know if if if it's only if we
have this weekend
you know they are throwing and we good
you know over if we all certainly on the
phone that because it's
15 over this is going to be a nice I
last checked and giving you what they do
is that I have three Masters all those
buses
instead of going to the pastor they're
going to a pre master
which is another bus yeah
so why am I doing this those people are
not doing
whether going is because have a few
records that I thing sounds amazing
so I want to be able to compare
because you is a getting used to wear
whenever you doing
and you're always going to feel a sounds
great but if you take a reference is
always better
but the what I do is that I send a
reference
to the master you the expert n my
everything that I'm doing is going to do
frymaster
waded master chain is and basically
frymaster eased if you master
and I have to master that has nothing on
it
where I put this and then when I do
is that on my on my master
I use only things to analyze the whole
game is how can we sound as large as
possible
good engine is that this guy would tell
you that
recognise dynamic which is had a lot of
difference between
when it's not now one-stop
DJ's I've experienced no doubt when you
play a recognized louder
people were screaming because
West lotta sounds better said this
peace
so obviously this is loud but it sounds
like shit
so game
game is to try to push to look at here
said guys
so I
I did before I pushed it to us sixty
huge and but it still sounds good
is a possible the money the speakers
good for you
is is that you posted on Hulu Plus is
this was which is
which is a lot of and maybe it doesn't
stop
because %uh the Sol system love the fans
ok I had a good you have
you know gore's whatever issue you
should be used to use insistence that
you should know
usual whoever is everything we've got
like
actually I miss this with my headphones
so
because I know my phones old on the road
so yeah
ever met I'm trying to say maybe on you
know
as follows: it won't just off but when
you go to a club in LA that's actually
exactly what I did you see is for his
version
Paul point2 so I did it with my
headphones
I've that was version 0 and I when I
in the club you and I G a whole
different version
yeah on.co ago
there you know so I come back and just
write down on a paper what's wrong
no and I corrected so under messaging
I use this card is a good trick like I
put everything that is under
have 175 in 10 because
you want to kick in the Bay City right
in them in your face is like
you know so I put it in 10
and by dis pay make sure they seem on a
bike bring it on the masses
everything they's under 175 is gonna be
mine
and I want or so to speak about like
arrangements and of course there's the
panning so of course
is right you know we to also think of
having Steve you feeling
so we want to put set surgeons elements
on the lesson to Amazon right
a using Reaver is like new checks that
can show you also
okay so this one for example if you
wanna
this is is in small thing and it doesn't
have to be
in the middle so if you want it creates
to you
you can use that killed use
it too late and want is on the left you
can also use you know that 60
you know like if you do that it's very
very small delay
on the left creates you
just but this is with this is without
oldest
that's the trick you can do follows
hi-hats
you can do it on class
so if you take this example
this example of record as to
main parts one is a
emotional part and one he's a
I energy cannot or so this is
this this emotional
groom
fund
and things going
yes
hunts why what is emotional and one
is energy one
has melody and the other one is strict
so that shines I love the music
his that melody brings in motion
but doesn't make you dance if you want
to have a record they speak that people
can remember they have to be able to
seeing something you to remember sums
what gives the energy he something
is a physical reaction so because I when
you have to keep a steady so
Hughes is moving so much it you take it
like this
day's work is gonna make you dance when
doing here
is that like doing emotional was not a
lot of
above some pressure and then always
second
we go from like nothing and three
low-level
to the maximum love some pressure my
Wiese
only one note so that's like you
there's nothing to make you there's more
than that so its again playing with the
volume
her and and also with the feelings
okay so if you listen to the radio you
had a
everything is on the radio has melodies
people that I have
a more mainstream success
is because we manage to have at the same
time
do role energy beat
and the emotion up the music
and that does that change really and you
have to think of what you wanna do
when you stop a wreck it do you want to
have like a cool
move beats to play in a club
and but the wreck it will probably not
stand out
it's a record between other records what
you wanna have
a record that make people can remember
the day after
and that comes with the music here and
also that's my opinion
in which audience that you're trying to
satisfy the most if it's more of a
DJ elements crowd are you what the deal
is to be picking this one up
on be poor I V CSI the typical fan base
that here's on the radio only knows
about melody and could be courses you
know so
is all about with your intent on where
you want to take that track
more commercial s where that you're more
of a fan base does not think the common
denominator to dance music is maybe
there's no every
DJ in the world but loves dance music
the last words David
freddy's any quick advice three words of
wisdom
me yeah
okay girl
well

I mean I don't do always 60 in that case
page is it that way I would use a
compressor to glue
kickin bass Florida asthma attack on the
compressor
the low to tomb compresses lead to feel
like it's want because now
what is good is that because the key and
face them play together again
so you can relax you know okay gonna
come to you say businesses the more you
compress to moisture
go to your face but you can not if you
compress
and and take these conflicting then
slept
is horrible okay so you can compress
heart only if its clean bagless
West counts for me is highs though some
the record at the end
so this is a vengeance and
but I was struggling on you know how to
make it some good winning the record so
waded I do it first youth
then there's a fever okay so this is
also something depending on that what
you want to do is to revive it sometimes
is cool too
weaver first and if compress it was a
sight chain
after because it will what's going to
happen
compared to issue senate do for the base
here in weaver
is is don't give life because a when the
station is opening to
the weavers guild take this and is going
to
your love swell you know boosted a
record
and then unlike he still not something
good at putting another
EQ boosting
good 10 have to be always such
everything has to be said and
work for me for me some people doesn't
doesn't work yet
everything everything more or less yeah
you know but I would faces I G
everything
18 Rick you don't need to say chain
twisted keep that you using
everybody's you using the cake I just a
shame but
you if you listen to my record is aw
Afrojack only Camaro possibly says last
year
like how is it possible this aging so
fast
unless you want to call me which is
related like this
but that's on purpose my so he did
because he wanted to sound like this
but sometimes when you played since you
don't want
you wanna have that pumping feel
you so you wanna make the
the moment where december is good
because everybody understands sizing is
basically the volume is going down you
define hire you
when you want to make it go up so its
how deep you wanna go down
and how long is going to take to come
back
what I suggest in the music of today

now in a music I've like seven years ago
five years ago being the music of today
is to do a very short sightseeing paid
to do this
instead of using you kick that has a
tail
may be used something ace shorter
does the trick is you can use different
triggers
so you can use if you listen to
a coalition a pic
of
of
office
gotta that is I
to me I don't know I might say something
wrong because I wasn't
to stay with him but to me it feels like
okay he's used to trigger is very long
on purpose maybe by accident it was
about something cool
skip it so you can use different
triggers
or so depending on what you want to
achieve you can have a very fast trigger
they can also this pushed an attack back
to make it
not really a slender give you a trick my
friend so
okay who says that the trigger needs to
be
on the one mmm you can't put delay
like you can't put did the trigger a
little bit of four
yeah because no one is telling you that
the trio has to be on the one
so if you do is gives you even a faster
your attack min a city like we can spend
days
you must say to know really is this
regard to go
this record for example a pic it
speaking
this Act will be in a red this record
goes against
everything that a train set up in jail I
came here to tell you
they sounds really incredible
why because again
this almost no elements mmm so and
and this so much space good
go vases
playing at the same time with the cake
so that's
1 and then there's the the
the new law is kind of coercion whatever
is used to
to do that sound is very cool it is a
huge
reverb on it again because there's so
much space
that you can put that we've huge is not
going to take too much space
you know yet more landscaped yet because
painting the room
again you know if if if it's only if we
have this weekend
you know they are throwing and we good
you know over if we all certainly on the
phone that because it's
15 over this is going to be a nice I
last checked and giving you what they do
is that I have three Masters all those
buses
instead of going to the pastor they're
going to a pre master
which is another bus yeah
so why am I doing this those people are
not doing
whether going is because have a few
records that I thing sounds amazing
so I want to be able to compare
because you is a getting used to wear
whenever you doing
and you're always going to feel a sounds
great but if you take a reference is
always better
but the what I do is that I send a
reference
to the master you the expert n my
everything that I'm doing is going to do
frymaster
waded master chain is and basically
frymaster eased if you master
and I have to master that has nothing on
it
where I put this and then when I do
is that on my on my master
I use only things to analyze the whole
game is how can we sound as large as
possible
good engine is that this guy would tell
you that
recognise dynamic which is had a lot of
difference between
when it's not now one-stop
DJ's I've experienced no doubt when you
play a recognized louder
people were screaming because
West lotta sounds better said this
peace
so obviously this is loud but it sounds
like shit
so game
game is to try to push to look at here
said guys
so I
I did before I pushed it to us sixty
huge and but it still sounds good
is a possible the money the speakers
good for you
is is that you posted on Hulu Plus is
this was which is
which is a lot of and maybe it doesn't
stop
because %uh the Sol system love the fans
ok I had a good you have
you know gore's whatever issue you
should be used to use insistence that
you should know
usual whoever is everything we've got
like
actually I miss this with my headphones
so
because I know my phones old on the road
so yeah
ever met I'm trying to say maybe on you
know
as follows: it won't just off but when
you go to a club in LA that's actually
exactly what I did you see is for his
version
Paul point2 so I did it with my
headphones
I've that was version 0 and I when I
in the club you and I G a whole
different version
yeah on.co ago
there you know so I come back and just
write down on a paper what's wrong
no and I corrected so under messaging
I use this card is a good trick like I
put everything that is under
have 175 in 10 because
you want to kick in the Bay City right
in them in your face is like
you know so I put it in 10
and by dis pay make sure they seem on a
bike bring it on the masses
everything they's under 175 is gonna be
mine
and I want or so to speak about like
arrangements and of course there's the
panning so of course
is right you know we to also think of
having Steve you feeling
so we want to put set surgeons elements
on the lesson to Amazon right
a using Reaver is like new checks that
can show you also
okay so this one for example if you
wanna
this is is in small thing and it doesn't
have to be
in the middle so if you want it creates
to you
you can use that killed use
it too late and want is on the left you
can also use you know that 60
you know like if you do that it's very
very small delay
on the left creates you
just but this is with this is without
oldest
that's the trick you can do follows
hi-hats
you can do it on class
so if you take this example
this example of record as to
main parts one is a
emotional part and one he's a
I energy cannot or so this is
this this emotional
groom
fund
and things going
yes
hunts why what is emotional and one
is energy one
has melody and the other one is strict
so that shines I love the music
his that melody brings in motion
but doesn't make you dance if you want
to have a record they speak that people
can remember they have to be able to
seeing something you to remember sums
what gives the energy he something
is a physical reaction so because I when
you have to keep a steady so
Hughes is moving so much it you take it
like this
day's work is gonna make you dance when
doing here
is that like doing emotional was not a
lot of
above some pressure and then always
second
we go from like nothing and three
low-level
to the maximum love some pressure my
Wiese
only one note so that's like you
there's nothing to make you there's more
than that so its again playing with the
volume
her and and also with the feelings
okay so if you listen to the radio you
had a
everything is on the radio has melodies
people that I have
a more mainstream success
is because we manage to have at the same
time
do role energy beat
and the emotion up the music
and that does that change really and you
have to think of what you wanna do
when you stop a wreck it do you want to
have like a cool
move beats to play in a club
and but the wreck it will probably not
stand out
it's a record between other records what
you wanna have
a record that make people can remember
the day after
and that comes with the music here and
also that's my opinion
in which audience that you're trying to
satisfy the most if it's more of a
DJ elements crowd are you what the deal
is to be picking this one up
on be poor I V CSI the typical fan base
that here's on the radio only knows
about melody and could be courses you
know so
is all about with your intent on where
you want to take that track
more commercial s where that you're more
of a fan base does not think the common
denominator to dance music is maybe
there's no every
DJ in the world but loves dance music
the last words David
freddy's any quick advice three words of
wisdom
me yeah
okay girl
well

AMPLIFY YOUR VOICE USING ALIENS!
Ok, do you ever notice that some people have
chords of steel they have like perfect auto
tuned voices that results from what I call
ALEIN. Its this weird noise that not only
amplifies the harmonics in your voice - but
also helps to stabilize your voice. So in

these next few audio files, I will introduce
you, not only how to make that weird sound,
but how to use it to stabilize and clarify
your voice across your range.

GBv10: Restore Keyboard Shortcuts - MinuteGarageBand
In this episode of Minute GarageBand we're
going to show you how to replace some missing
keyboard shortcuts in GarageBand version 10
Version 6 of GarageBand offered some useful
keyboard shortcuts that have been omitted
in version 10. Shortcuts that correspond to
menuItems are actually easy to replace, and
in this episode we'll show you how to replace
2 of them...
The Delete and Move shortcut...
along with a Move Automation with Regions
shortcut.
The first step is to open up System Preferences
Then select the Keyboard prefs
Choose the Shortcuts tab
and pick App ShortCuts from the lefthand list
Then add GarageBand to the list of applications
by clicking the plus icon and selecting GarageBand
from the pullDown menu.
Now enter the name of the menu for which you
desire a keyboard equivalent, in this case
we're going to add a keyboard shortcut to
the Move Automation with Regions menuItem,
so enter that into the textField.
and finally, click in the Shortcut field and
press the keys you wish to use. We're going
to use control-option-a
We're going to do the same thing for the Move
and Delete menu item
Now when we look at the menus we see that
both of our shortcuts are available.
That's all we have for this episode
we hope you found it useful

Compressed Air vs. CO2 | Paintball
My name is Mike Peverill. I'm here at Pev's
Paintball Park in Aldie, Virginia. I've been
playing paintball nearly 30 years. I've played
professional paintball with numerous pro teams
all over the world. This facility here was
built from the ground up for paintball, kind

of like a paintball Disney Land. Our website
is www.pevs.com. Hopefully you can come out
and visit us sometime.
This is a CO2 tank. CO2's been around since
the beginning of paintball. That was the first
type of gas that was used to propel the paintball
gun. Then it was followed by compressed air.
Compressed air is basically natural breathing
air, like in a scuba diving compressor, as
opposed to CO2, which is carbon dioxide. The
difference is, you know, CO2 is an unstable
gas. What happens is as it gets warmer and
gets hot, it goes to a liquid, I mean a gas
form, which can cause an increased spike in
what's gonna happen in pressure. As opposed
to being in liquid, I mean, you know, which
is a different velocity. So, so this was always
changing. Compressed air is not changing.
So what happens, if you want a paintball gun
to be efficient, and get more shots per tank,
and not have to fill up as often, you want
compressed air. Plus compressed air, the bottle
itself, fiberglass, weighs half the weight
of this metal heavy CO2 gas filled container.
So I mean, a big difference. Imagine being
on the paintball field for 4 hours, 5 hours,
playing all day long. You wanna carry the
gun that's gonna be the lightest, and you're
gonna want compressed air. Plus, you don't
wanna have to come back and refill as much.
Now, CO2 tank, that's the cheaper way to go
for your gun. It costs less to buy the tank.
This may cost more, but in the long run, it's
gonna pay for itself numerous times. Because
more shots per tank, better gas efficiency,
better accuracy. So that, you know, CO2, every
third or fourth ball you shoot, the velocity's
gonna drop, 'cause you're shooting so fast,
it won't reach your target, it's wasting your
paintballs. This one is always gonna be on
target, same velocity all the time.

The Origin of the Diversified Trading System (DTS) | Day Trading Software for NinjaTrader - Display the Bass or Treble cleff in GarageBand - Minute GarageBand
The Origin of the Diversified Trading System (DTS) | Day Trading Software for NinjaTrader
It's Adam Halpern here.
I'm the president of Indicator
Warehouse.
About two years ago in late
2010, I created a
folder on my desktop.
I called it the Ultimate
Day Trading System.
This file is where I kept every
note and every request
for any feature one of our
trading customers sent to
Indicator Warehouse.
And many of these requests we've
been able to accommodate
with new indicators or upgrades
to our present inventory.
But there was a section
of the file that
took on its own life.
In fact, it became the subject
of ongoing conversations with
a veteran trader and my original
teacher, Erich Senft.
Let's face it.
There are plenty of good systems
out there, but they
all have one thing in common.
They all force you to wait for
the "good setup." Have you
ever heard this one before?
"Trading should be boring, " or,
"You need to sit on your
hands and wait for
a good signal.
That's called being a
disciplined trader."
Well, the problem is this is
incredibly hard to do,
especially when you sit there
staring at an endless river of
price action and potential
profit
flowing across your chart.
I think you'll agree with me.
It's pretty hard to just sit
there and watch other people
make money 24/7 while waiting
for your system to alert you
with a good set up.
Often our patience runs dry and
we get sucked into taking
a trade just because we're so
darn tired of waiting and
would rather take the risk of
a bad trade than wait for a
better opportunity.
In a nutshell, it
sounds simple.
Traders wanted a system that
showed them a lot of good
trade setups with as little
risk as possible and, of
course, as much consistent
profit as possible.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
After six months of development
and over nine
months of testing, the
Diversified Trading System is
now available.
DTS, as we call it, has not one,
not two, but three signal
generators, each designed to
look at an instrument or
correlated instrument in
different time frames in order
to reveal the maximum number
of good trades available.
The cool thing with DTS is that
you can take three trades
at once in three different time
frames, never missing a
good opportunity for a solid
trend, swing, or scalp trade
all in one system.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
All right, we got our first
target on our scalp trade, so
things are headed our way with
our other two trades.
First profit target off
on the Falcon as well.
Currently working three
trades at once here.
Already out of our first scalp
trade with a small winner.
Made our first profit
target here on the
Falcon Swing Trade.
Waiting for our--
Profit Manager has picked
up my trade on the
Falcon Swing Trader.
Looks like we may be getting
yet another scalp trade
setting itself up.
Another entry here.
Valid, down, price taps.
And we are beating up on
the low of the day.
I'm protecting one tick here.
I've already got a winner
on this one.

Let's protect what we have.
I've got a couple of nice
winners under my belt.
There we go.
Now we're taking off here.
I tell you, here's what
I'm going to do.
I'm going to grab.
There we go.
Beautiful.
Number two.
All right, once again we've
made yet another bar.
I'm trailing the bars, trailing
the tops of the bars.
I want to protect every bit of
profit that I possibly can.
What three signal generators
can actually do for you--
Very exciting stuff.
A lot of different trades
going on at once.
That's the cool thing
about DTS.
And I just got another
Falcon entry signal--
Currently protecting 22 ticks
on the Eagle and I am
protecting 25 ticks
on the Falcon.
Display the Bass or Treble cleff in GarageBand - Minute GarageBand
In this episode of Minute GarageBand we're
going show you how to display just the bass
clef, or just the treble clef in GarageBand's
notation editor
While GarageBand shouldn't be confused with
a dedicated notation editor such as Finale
or Sibelius, it does offer some options in
this area, one of which is the ability to
display the Bass, or F clef, the treble, or
G clef, or the default view of having both
clefs displayed in the staff.
Once you open the notation editor in GarageBand
the standard view is to display both clefs,
however this portion of the notation editor
is also a popUp menu.
Clicking anywhere in this section will give
you the option of displaying the bass clef
the treble clef
or the default view of both
That's all we have for this episode

So long.
It's Adam Halpern here.
I'm the president of Indicator
Warehouse.
About two years ago in late
2010, I created a
folder on my desktop.
I called it the Ultimate
Day Trading System.
This file is where I kept every
note and every request
for any feature one of our
trading customers sent to
Indicator Warehouse.
And many of these requests we've
been able to accommodate
with new indicators or upgrades
to our present inventory.
But there was a section
of the file that
took on its own life.
In fact, it became the subject
of ongoing conversations with
a veteran trader and my original
teacher, Erich Senft.
Let's face it.
There are plenty of good systems
out there, but they
all have one thing in common.
They all force you to wait for
the "good setup." Have you
ever heard this one before?
"Trading should be boring, " or,
"You need to sit on your
hands and wait for
a good signal.
That's called being a
disciplined trader."
Well, the problem is this is
incredibly hard to do,

How to Bounce Individual Tracks As .WAV Stems And Prepare For Transfer: Pro Tools and Logic Pro - DJ Coptic Ft Stonebwoy
How to Bounce Individual Tracks As .WAV Stems And Prepare For Transfer: Pro Tools and Logic Pro
hey everyone this is Mark from the wave
shop today I'm gonna show you how to
bounce your individual tracks
as wav files and then prepare them for
transferring this is useful when you're
working with someone who doesn't use the
same DAW
as you do so from working in Pro Tools
and another producers working in logic
I need to be able to send the files in
the usable format so that he or she can
work with them
now in order to do that they all need to
be the exact same length
we need to have an agreed-upon length
before the start the song
in case it needs to line up to a grid so
let me show you how to do that
the first thing and this is very
important is to add cross fades
if you haven't already if we don't do
this the files that we export
will probably contain pops and clicks so
let me show you how to do that
let's go over here to our group menu
click on the all group
now with the all group selected
I'm just scroll across here
and select all of the audio files in
this song
says you see they're all selected right
now that i'm gonna hit command F
this brings up a batch fayed's menu now
we're gonna check the box that says
create new fades
and create new fate ins and outs to
leave the adjusting existing fayed's
unchecked in case I have created some
unique fayed's before this
will use five milliseconds then click OK
that creates any new fades so now we're
sure that everything is cross faded
we won't have any unnecessary clicks and
pops
so as you can see some of these tracks
have an audio file that spans the length
of the song
but others have multiple audio files
within the track this is a composite
track
so what we need to do is make it so that
every single track
has one audio file that is the same link
and starts at the same time
so here's how we'll do that when
assuming here
using T
I'm gonna go to the beginning of the
song
now what I like to do
you is turning on
mode over here
click one measure before the start of
the song
middle zoom out with are hold SHIFT
click at the end of the session
zoom in Center the end with the rare
okie
and make sure that the end of this
selection
matches near the end of the song
so we can see that I've selected all the
audio on both ends
and when is your back out now here's the
trick
this is called consolidate now one way
to do it
is to go up to edits
consolidate clip but I like to do it
with the
pro to a shortcut so many hit shift
option 3
now it's Missy rendering
what it's doing right now is it's making
audio files are the exact same length
that selection that I just made
so once that's done rendering it'll look
like this in all your audio files
will be the same link on each track
that's exactly what we wanted
here's how to do it if you're working in
Logic Pro first make sure
you have all the cross fades applied to
your audio files
then got to file export
all tracks as audio files
gonna create a new folder
titled way
is with the tempo
create and I'm gonna say format
as wave and 24-bit because that's what I
work in
so it's
sporting the tracks now so all of them
are the same length that's what we need
the rest of the process is the same for
both Pro Tools
in logic sessions let's take a look at
it so the next step in the process
is to locate these files in your hard
drive
put them in a new folder and then
compress the folder
minute command tab to open finder
I've got the session right here call
Devin band makes
and if I open up this folder we can see
within here
the audio files folder when open that up
as well
this is actually really helpful that we
have the date modified right here
because we can see when we created these
audio files
so I know that I just consolidated these
regions at 9:46 p.m.
so I know that from here to hear
are all the audio files that I just
created
what I'm gonna do is right click
copy 18 items known going to create a
new folder

and call this waves for Devin
band mix
within this folder or paste the audio
files that we just created
now that all the audio files are within
that folder when you go back one
and one thing that's always good to do
is to put the temple
in the session file I'm gonna go to get
info
and put dot 120 bpm
this helps whoever's receiving the file
to know what to set their session
so now I'm going right click on this
folder we just created
go down to compress
this will create a dot zip file this
file
is the one that you would send over the
Internet to whoever is receiving your
session
so if you're sending it to the wave shop
to get your free mix that's the file you
choose
thanks for watching give any questions

How to Train Your Bird to Talk - Angelo Visentini - 4/01/2014 full live Dj Set : Deep House/ Techno
How to Train Your Bird to Talk
How to Train Your Bird to Talk. Birds arenâ™t
like babiesâ"you canâ™t expect them to pick
up speech just by babbling away at them. You
need a plan. You will need The right breed

of bird Time Treats and patience. Step 1.
If you havenâ™t already bought Tweety, pick
a breed that is known for its chattiness.
Amazon parrots and African greys are the gabbiest,
followed by macaws, male cockatiels, mynahs,
and parakeets. Female cockatiels, female budgies,
grass parakeets, rosellas, and canaries donâ™t
talk. Step 2. Once youâ™ve narrowed your
choices to a talkative breed, focus your attention
on choosing a bird that seems alert and interested
in whatâ™s going on around him. These are
clues that heâ™ll make a good talker. Step
3. Get a young bird. Like the proverbial old
dog who canâ™t learn new tricks, an older
bird is going to have more trouble picking
up speech. Step 4. Give the bird a name that
is no more than two syllables. A longer name
reduces the chances that he will learn to
say his own name. Step 5. If youâ™re married
and/or have children, pick one person to teach
the bird. If several people are trying to
instruct the bird, it will only confuse it.
Birds learn more easily from women. Step 6.
Start training at the optimal time. For smaller
birds, thatâ™s at four to six months. For
bigger birds, wait until theyâ™re six to
twelve months. Donâ™t teach a bird to whistle
before training him to talk, or it will make
the speech lessons that much harder. Step
7. Start training by saying a few simple words
to Tweety, always using them under the same
circumstances. For example, you could say
âœGood morningâ every day when you first
rise, and you could reserve âœByeâ for
when the bird can see you walk out the door.
Step 8. Repeat the words several times in
each instance. You want the bird to start
associating the sound you are making with
the context. Step 9. Give Tweety a treat every
time he repeats something you are teaching
him. Remember that birds donâ™t just repeat
what you want them to; they mimic sounds they
hear. So if youâ™re suffering a bout of loud
flatulence, or getting ready to rip someone
a new one, stay out of Tweetyâ™s earshot.
Step 10. If Tweety has picked up a bad word,
washing his mouth out with soap wonâ™t work.
But ignoring him when he repeats the word
will, because getting your attention is his
main incentive. Step 11. Now enjoy chatting
with your fine-feathered friend! Did you know
Talking birds often will imitate your phoneâ™s
ring tone because they get a kick out of watching
you come running.

How to Use Waves Vocal Rider for Automatic Makeup Gain - 26 Snare Drum Heads Comparison YourDrumSound.com Update #1 (ITALIAN SUBTITLED)
How to Use Waves Vocal Rider for Automatic Makeup Gain
Hey, guys. Eric Tarr here for theproaudiofiles.com.
I came up with a trick that I want to show
you that addresses an issue that shows up
all the time when you're working on a mix.
First, I'll talk about the problem, then I'll
get to the solution.
So, when you're working on a mix, a lot of
times you'll focus on individual instruments
and tracks, try and process them in a way
that improves the sound of the original recording.
So what you might do is add in a plug-in,
dial in some settings, and see if the plug-in
has improved the sound. Am I adding something
in that I like? Or, you have to check and
make sure that it's not doing something that
you don't like and making it sound worse.
An example, let me send a kick drum through
the Waves NLS channel.
I'll turn up the input drive to add in some
harmonics, and I'll see if I like what this
is doing.
[kick drum plays, bypassing and enabling NLS
channel]
Alright, so I think I like what tonal shaping
the plug-in is doing. Adding in those harmonics.
However, another thing that the plug-in is
doing is it's increasing the overall level
of my input signal, so when I A/B back and
forth, it's difficult to tell if it's the
tonal shaping that I like, or just the overall
level that I like. We need to be careful as
mixing engineers not to be duped into thinking
something sounds better just because it sounds
louder, or it sounds worse just because it
sounds quieter.
Good thing is, a lot of plug-ins will have
an output volume fader here that I can do
level matching between the input and the output.
So, let me show you the whole process now
that you have to go through to do the level
matching between the input and the output.
So now, let me turn my attention and focus
on just the level.
[kick drum plays, adjusting output level]
Alright. So there I've got the level set the
way it should be.
The problem with this though, is it's now
interrupted my whole workflow. Instead of
focusing on the tonal shaping of the plug-in,
now I'm focusing on the level, and until I
get the level set, only then can I turn my
attention to the actual harmonic shaping of
this particular plug-in.
Let's say, for instance, I've got the level
set now, but I think the harmonics are a little
bit overkill, and I need to back these off.
[kick drum plays, adjusting input drive]
Well, now my output level is too quiet. I
need to do level matching again.
[kick drum continues playing, adjusting output]
So, hopefully you can see that this is a problem.
This can certainly be a distraction away from
your general workflow, and turn your attention
away from what's most important when you're
working on a mix. It's not just the input
drive knob that does this, though.
In all kinds of other plug-ins, like an equalizer,
almost every parameter is actually going to
shape the level of the output.
[kick plays]
Right here, I've pulled in a Pultec style
equalizer. My output level is too loud, I
need to back it off.
[kick continues playing]
Let's say I want to attenuate now. Now the
signal's too quiet. I need to adjust the output
level for every single parameter essentially
that I adjust.
And yeah, something like a compressor, where
the whole purpose is to actually do attenuation
of the signal level. So you have to adjust
things like the input level and the output
level like this.
[kick drum]
The issue that comes up is almost every adjustment
you make to the input level, you have to also
make to the output level. If I want to drive
it less at the input, I have to turn the output
level up.
So, this can be very tedious when you're getting
through a mix, right?Now, some plug-ins will
have a feature on it that's very useful. This
is the âœlink input and output levelâ control.
So, on the Kramer Master Tape, the record
level stands for the input, and playback level
stands for the output. These are linked together
so that as I turn up the input level, the
output gets turned down. It's doing that automatically
for me.
[kick drum]
Now, instead of just worrying about the level
of the plug-in, I can focus on how hard I
want to drive the input, without worrying
about the output level getting screwed up
too.
Now, this is a very useful control. The problem
is, very few plug-ins have this. What I want
to show you then, is the technique that I
came up with, that can do automatic level
adjustment for you, no matter what plug-in
you're using for processing.
Not only does it just link input and output
level, but it is actually an automatic gain
control for your unprocessed and your processed
version together.
So, the plug-in that I'm going to be using
is from Waves. It's called the Waves Vocal
Rider. Now conventionally, this plug-in is
used to turn up the volume of a vocal track,
or turn down the volume of a vocal track,
and it's done relative to the mix of your
music. So all the background music is sent
in through the key input of the plug-in, and
then the plug-in listens to that music, and
adjusts the level so that as the music gets
louder, then the vocal gets louder. If the
music gets quieter, then the vocal gets quieter.
Instead of using it for that purpose though,
what I'm going to do is use it as an output
volume control for any processor that I insert
over here on my track.
So, I'm going to send in instead of music,
I'm actually going to send in the unprocessed
version of my kick drum, and then it will
be processing turning up the level of the
processed version of my kick drum. Whatever
effects I add in, it's going to turn this
up or down relative to the unprocessed, so
I can do the level matching automatically.
As an example, let me pull up my channel strip
over here. I'm going to be using this processor
for all kinds of different things, from changing
the input volume control, to doing compression,

to doing equalization. I want to show you
that the Vocal Rider will automatically adjust
and match the output level relative to the
input level.
I've come up with an entire workflow for this.
You don't necessarily have to follow it, but
something that I think is useful, where I
set up two auxiliary tracks.
One, I've called âœauto-level,â and this
is where I'm going to be inserting my plug-ins
that are doing the processing. Just a channel
strip, or I can drag over any of these other
kinds of processors. NLS Channel, compressor,
and so on.
Then, I set up another auxiliary track called
the âœoriginal monitor.â Here, I'm going
to buss over my kick drum from this instrument
track. I'm going to buss it over and feed
it into both of these auxiliary tracks. This
one I leave unprocessed, so I can solo it
and A/B back and forth between the unprocessed
version and the processed version. So, this
is where the A/Bing is happening right here.
Then, what I'm going to do, is insert the
Vocal Rider after my plug-in effect, and it's
just going to automatically adjust the level.
Now, what I found is I actually decided to
use two vocal riders back to back. This is
because you'll see, there's a limit to the
maximum you can turn the signal up, and turn
it down. Each plug-in can turn up by 12 dB
or down by 12 dB. Sometimes though, if you
do dramatic changes to the signal in your
processor, you might need as much as 24 dB
to go up and down, and by doing two of these
back to back, you can actually go all the
way up to 24 or -24 dB, and still match the
level of your processed to the unprocessed.
Let me demonstrate this and you'll see it
in action. So, I've bussed the original signal
in here so the plug-in is listening to the
unprocessed version.
[kick plays]
I can level match. This is automatically going
to adjust for me. I've got my unprocessed
in the signal after it goes through this plug-in.
As a basic example, let me turn up the output
level here to the point where it should be
starting to clip, right? I've gone up by 12
dB, but the vocal rider is automatically adjusting
to turn the signal down so that it still level
matches.
I can also do the opposite. Let's say I pull
this signal way back. Turning it down by like,
20 dB here. You'll see that it will take a
little bit of time, but Vocal Rider, because
of the settings that I've got on it, it will
increase the level automatically. I'm not
touching anything. I haven't automated anything.
Vocal Rider will do the level matching, and
look at this. Now my processed version, where
I've turned it down by 20 dB is the same level
as the unprocessed.
So, let me go back to 0 dB. You'll hear that
it takes a second, but it's adjusting things.
Now, let me do something like turn up a compressor.
Look at how it automatically adjusts so that
the processed version matches. I didn't have
to do any level adjustment, it automatically
takes care of the output level of my compressor.
Similarly, if I turn this back down, let's
move over to the equalizer.
We can do a huge boost to my sub frequencies.
As much as 20 dB, and it's automatically adjusting
to make sure that this is the relative level.
I can cut, and you'll see that these will
automatically adjust and turn the signal back
up so that it matches.
Boost some high frequencies...
Do these things together...
So, the huge advantage of this is my attention
is just focused on the tonal shaping of the
plug-in. How it's doing compression, how it's
doing equalization and so on. I'm not worried
about the output gain level.
Now, certainly, after the fact, when I come
up with the end result of the processing chain
that I want to use, it's a good idea to make
the last one control the output level to make
sure it doesn't clip, but while you're just
A/Bing things back and forth, this can be
a very useful way of doing it.
Then, after I get the settings that I like,
it's just a matter of copying and pasting
from the auto-level track over here to my
kick drum.
Then, if I've got another instrument, I can
do a similar kind of thing. Let's say I've
got a snare drum. I can send that snare drum
into my auto-level and original monitor using
the same buss, and go through the whole process
again, and A/B some track back and forth,
figure out whatever processing I want without
even having to worry about adjusting this
output level of each of the plug-ins.
So, hopefully you guys were able to take something
away from that and understand exactly how
the routing is working. If you have any questions,
post them below, and I'll be happy to answer
them.
This is a technique that I came up with that
will hopefully speed up your workflow and
allow you to work much more efficiently and
faster, and make sure your attention is always
focused on what's most important in your mix.
Until next time, take care, guys.

and tracks, try and process them in a way
that improves the sound of the original recording.

Tips for Mixing Pre-Treated Remix Vocals
Hey, folks. Matthew Weiss here â" www.weiss-sound.com,
www.theproaudiofiles.com
I'm here to tell you that when you download
an a capella for remixing, you can still treat
that a capella. Here's the thing.
When you get an a capella for a remix, specifically
in something like an EDM record or something
like that, that a capella has generally been
treated. However, it's been treated to match
the original song. It's the original song
a capella.
So, while for the most part, it probably sounds
right, it doesn't mean that it's necessarily
spot on for the track that you're constructing
around that a capella.
Okay, let's give an example here. Here is
a remix provided to me by my friend, EverBeats,
and it has this vocal in it.
[song plays]
And it sounds pretty good. However, I think
that the original track was possibly a slightly
darker sounding record overall, or a slightly
more analog sounding record overall.
I want this vocal to stand out a little more
bright, a little more clearly, and mesh with
the brighter tones of this record. So, I'm
going to throw on this EQ.
[song plays, enabling and bypassing EQ to
vocals]
Alright, let's hear that in solo.
[vocals play soloed]
So, what's going on under the hood here? Well,
I felt that it was a brighter record, I felt
that it was a cleaner record, so I wanted
it to stand a little bit more presently, and

I wanted it to have a little bit more polish
to it, and so what I'm doing here is I'm taking
out a little bit of some spots in the mid-range
that I felt were a little ugly, and also etching
down the very low-range just slightly. This
is almost an imperceptible difference, and
then giving it just a little bit of presence
in the upper-mid range.
I will show you exactly what's going on, one
step at a time.
[edm vocals]
So, that 560Hz cut that I'm doing, that's
primarily cleaning up and cutting down the
room tone from the reverb that's on those
vocals that was printed onto them. Then, similarly,
this 360Hz cut...
[edm vocals]
...Just a slightly boxy tone, so I'm etching
that out a little bit. Given the context of
a different mix, that tone might be necessary
for the vocal to sound like it has body, however,
in this particular remix, we don't need that
tone there.
[vocals play]
The low end bump is just a little bit of extra
woof that's in there. It's very, very subtle,
but it's something where I'm playing a game
of inches*** here, so even if I hear it just
a little bit, that's enough. That's probably
the least impactful move of the whole EQ process
here.
[playing soloed vocals]
So, this 1.5 kHz boost here is not really
going to make too much sense in the solo,
so I'm going to play it in the context of
the record.
[full mix]
It makes the vocals step forward a little
bit, so that it makes sense with that snare
and with some of the brighter synths.
Here's that exaggerated.
[mix plays]
So, in a way, actually, it sort of illustrates
that point, which is that if you were to hear
this in solo mode, with the 1.5 decibel boost
at 1.5kHz, it sounds a little bit grungier,
because there's some grungy tones there, but
because it helps it stand forward, it's still
sort of a necessary move. This is why every
context sort of dictates what the EQ is going
to be.
Ford Focus car stereo wiring color explained 2000-04 How to install wires

Most newer car stereo's come with a 16-pin harness.
These wires are shown on the left under "Standard."
If you follow the "Standard"
wires across to the right, you will see the
wires you need to hook up to.
The red wire is the 12v ignition wire.
This supplies power to the stereo only when the key is turned.
The yellow wire is 12v constantly.
Regardless of whither the key is turned or not.
This supplies power to the radio to save memory
settings like time and what song was last played.
The black wire is the -12v ground wire.
This can be connected to your old harness
or where the wire can have a clean secure
contact to the metal frame of the car.
The solid blue wire is the "Power Antenna" wire,
if you have a power antenna.
The blue wire with the white stripe is if you are going
to hook it up to an external amplifier.
The solid orange wire is for "Illumination."
Meaning the lights in your stereo.
The orange wire with a white stripe is a dimmer.
Some stereos allow the lights to dim when the headlights or parking lights are on.
The brown wire is for whats called "Phone Mute."
It lowers the sound of the stereo when sending or receiving calls.
Some older cars don't have certain
features like external amplifier, dimmer,
or phone mute. In which case you wouldn't
have any wires to hook up.
The last eight standard wires are speaker wires.
These are classified into colors.
The wires with the stripe going through it are all Negative wires.
The wires that are solid colors are the Positive wires.
It's important if you want to get the most out
of your speakers to hook these up correctly.
Positive to the Positive terminal on the
speaker, and Negative to the Negative.
Again looking to the right you will see the
wires that you need to hook up to.
The ones that the manufacturer installed.
One thing to remember is age and heat can change the color of wires.
You can see here on this
harness that there are no white wires.
They have all turned an off-yellow or cream color.
The grey wire has turned to what looks more
like a brown. So what this means is that you
need to take your time and go slow.
First hooking up the wires you are absolutely certain of.
Then it will be easy to sort through the
ones that you may be a little confused on.
As always, disconnect your battery before cutting or splicing any wires.
I hope this video has been helpful to you.

PowerPoint 2010: Editing Audio - Realtek voice remover :: WITHOUT ANY SOFTWARE !
PowerPoint 2010: Editing Audio
Now that we've added some audio files to our
presentation,
we need to edit them a little bit so
they'll play back correctly.
On the first slide, I added some intro music,
but the song is over a minute long,
and I really only need a few seconds.
To fix this, we'll need to trim it.
Make sure that the audio icon is selected,
and
then go to the Playback tab and Trim Audio.

And now you can use the green and red markers
to
change the start and end points.
To preview it, click the Play button.
And I'm going to be adding a fade in and fade
out,
so when I'm done,
the beginning and end will sound
a lot smoother.
And you can adjust the fade in and fade out
on the
Playback tab.
I'm going to do point 75 seconds for the fade
in,
and I want the fade out to be a little bit
longer,
so I'll do 3 seconds.
If you want to be able to jump to a specific
point
in the song, you can add a bookmark.
Click on the timeline where you want the bookmark
to be, and then click add bookmark.
And this little circle will appear,
and during your presentation you can just
click on it to jump to that spot.
If I played the slide show right now, I would
have
to click on the audio icon to start the music.
But I would prefer if it started playing
automatically.
You can change this by going to the Audio
Options
group on the Playback tab.
And where it says Start On Click, you can
change
this to Automatically.
And there are some other options that you
can
change here.
You can have the audio file loop continuously
until you stop it,
you can rewind it after it's done playing,
you can hide the audio icon,
and you can adjust the volume.
Now I'm going to start the slide show to test
the
intro music.
It starts playing automatically,
and it fades out nicely.
If you want to change the appearance of the
audio
icon, just select it
and go to the Format tab.
And here you can make any kind of adjustment
that
you want.
Or, you can even use one of your own pictures.
In the Adjust group, click the Change Picture
command.
Then find the picture that you want to use,
and click Insert.
Then you can resize it if you want to.
And I'm also going to change the color so
it
matches the slide.
Audio can add a lot of excitement to your
presentation,
and by using the Format and Playback
tabs to customize it,
you can make it even more impressive.

How to Mix 808's with Layered Kick Drums
Hey, guys. Matthew Weiss, www.Weiss-Sound.com,
www.TheProAudioFiles.com and
now, www.MixingRapVocals.com. Yes, I've released
a tutorial. I encourage
you to check it out because it is awesome,
but you know what else is
awesome? 808's. Everyone loves 808's. 808's
can be a little tricky. Why?
Because they're sinusoidal things that you
don't really hear because
they're too low to show up on your laptop
speakers. Okay, so how do you
make an 808 sound big?
Well, I've got a demonstration on that and,
as a very special treat, I will
be demonstrating on a record that I recently
mixed for the multiple-
platinum-awarded, multiple Grammy-Award-winning
rap group, Arrested
Development. Yes, I hit up Speech, and he
said, "Yeah man, go for it, you
can use this song." And thank you very much.
Rock on you guys, Arrested
Development. All right, let's give a listen
to the track.
[music 00:01:04]
Good low-end. Okay, so what's the deal with
the low-end? Well, when I got
the record it didn't have that low-end, so
I hit up Speech and I said, hey
man, I'm going to redesign this low-end which
is why there's so many
plugins in this session because I was doing
sound-designy, kind of
productionish work while I was mixing. He
said, go for it and I did it and
he loved it, so it worked out. I'm going to
show you what I did.
First of all, the components of the low-end
are four fold mainly. There is
this bass. There is a punchy kick. There is
an 808. There is also this
percussion overdub. The first and most important
thing is selecting an 808
sample that you like. If it's not an 808 sample
that you like, then why use
it? That's silly. Here's what the 808 sounded
like to begin with.
Okay, so let's play that with the bass. That
is grossly out of tune, and
also, it's too high-pitched. I want a monstrous,
beefy sub. So, I'm going
to pitch this thing way down and, you know,
I could sit here showing you
how I pitched it and what it sounded like,
but basically I ended up down at
like, two doubles, like six notes down or
something crazy.
Now, the other thing is, anytime you're mixing
two bass elements together,

always check the polarity, which means the
phase. That's usually marked
with a Omega. So I'm going to flip the polarity.
That sounds better. Also,
I don't really need that click at the front
of the 808, because I have a
punchy kick that's in there. So, let's just
get rid of that. Let's keep it
cleaner.
Cool, sounds good. All right, so now I've
got plenty of sub. It's really
cushioning the bottom end. I know it's going
to make the speakers in a car
explode, but it's lacking something. What
it's lacking is tone. This mix is
dense. There's a lot of stuff going on. There's
some synthesizers. There's
vocals. There's snares. There's percussions.
There's kicks. There's also
some crazy stuff happening, so I need to give
it some overtone. I am going
to use my favorite plug-in, Decapitator, and
give it some buzz.
Now, it's going to show up on laptop speakers,
and also, it has a nice
character to it, which it didn't have it before,
and I'm going to enhance
that a little bit with some EQ. I'm going
to take off the distortion. I'm
going to take off the EQ, and then I'm going
to switch them on.
[music 00:04:34]
So, the song is called "Bio." It's by Arrested
Development. It is currently
unreleased, but hopefully it will be coming
out as a B-side single soon,
ArrestedDevelopmentMusic.com. That is... I
hope that inspires you to make
some awesome 808 sounds. All right guys, 'til
next time.

Using Calorie Density To Lose (Or Gain) Weight
Hey guys! This is Heather from HealthyEatingStartsHere.com.
So I wanted just to take a quick moment today
and talk to you about calorie density and
how it relates to weight loss.
Itâ™s one of the important things to consider
when you are looking at your diet plan and
what it is, is basically the volume of food
related to how many calories are in that specific
volume.
So for example if you look at nut and seeds,
they have a lot of calories in a very small
package so they would be what we call calorie
dense then if you look at vegetables letâ™s
say zucchini it has very few calories but
itâ™s pack with water and fiber so for the
same volume of zucchini, youâ™re getting
a lot less calorie than you do with the nuts
or seeds.
So if you take that into your diet what you
can do is if you want to reduce the calorie
density of your diet, you just eat more vegetables
and fruits are pretty good too, they have
more sugars than vegetables so theyâ™re usually
few more calories for the same volume but
they still have lot of water and fiber so
they are great.
And so you wanna look at increasing the portion
size of your vegetables and decreasing the
portion size of calorie dense food if you
want to lose weight. If you actually want
to gain weight which I know some of you do
want to do then you do the opposite.
You try to get more calorie dense foods like
grains, beans, nut seed, avocados, stuff like
that and leave the amount of vegetable the
same if you can. What you can do is blend
them up so that theyâ™re a little bit less
dense if you break down that fiber and they
donâ™t take up much space in your stomach.
Now if you need some help on how to incorporate
different portion sizes of the veggies and
the grains and the beans and the walnut. If
you havenâ™t already seen this I put up together

a 7 day meal plan that shows you exactly how
to plan your portion sizes and get a right
amount of vegetables and then the right amount
of calories.
So there are four different calorie level,
1200, 1500, 1800 and 2100 and I donâ™t want
to sound too salesly but I just wanted to
make sure that you guys knew that it was there,
itâ™s on my website at HealthyEatingStartsHere.com/challenge.
If you want to learn more about healthy eating
this is definitely the way to do it. I have
a meal plan there that show exactly how to
do things in one week and then thereâ™s a
guide book that tells you how to take it on
into your own life for the long term coz thatâ™s
really what itâ™s all about its making these
habit stick for the long term.
So I hope you guys enjoyed that and let me
know your thoughts on calorie density by leaving
a comment below and thatâ™s it.

"Simple Fix" for "Earbuds not working" (Common problem), or "Earbuds cutting out" #4 - Lindo Mind Control Effects - Divine Delay, Natural Overdrive, Soul Distortion (Quick Overview)
"Simple Fix" for "Earbuds not working" (Common problem), or "Earbuds cutting out" #4
Does the following story sound familier? You
use your phone
or device every day. Then suddenly the
sound in one, or both
of your earbuds starts to cut out. So you
try another set of earbuds.
The sound in your new earbuds cuts out just like your old ones.
But you do notice, that if you push in
on the connector the sound starts
working again.
If it does don't panic, watch this video!
I will demonstrate a safe and simple fix that
nearly anyone can do!
(of course if you try this, it will be done
at your own risk)
Here's the standard 3 .5
millimeter plug on the end of my earbuds.
Some look a little different, but all
work pretty much the same way.
Here's the 3.5 millimeter audio jack that's in
my phone.
This will look pretty much the same on nearly
any device that uses these earbuds.
Notice that if nothing's plugged into that, "anything small enough" can go in it right?
No matter what style earbud
connector you have
because of the design if that connector does not plug in "all the way"
you will have problems like the sound
in one or both sides cutting out.
What you'll need if you don't already
have them
is available in nearly all drug or grocery
stores.
They are cheap strong flexible and most
importantly
electrically non-conductive which is
perfect for what we need it for.
It's a "brush pick" for your teeth.Make sure
you get ones with stiff bristles on the end okay
not the soft rubbery looking ones
because they will not work.
The ones you need are made of the same rigid
kind of plastic material from end to end.
Here's a brush pick beside my earbud
connector.
As you can see it will easily fit into
the audio jack where the dust might
be hiding, so you can get in and pull that dust out
Here's the bristle end of the brush pick. With scissors I cut the end of the pick off
up to the last bristle like this. I turn the pick around
and use the pick end for the first step.
Now it's important to mention that when
I insert this pick
into the audio jack of my phone, I use very
little force!
Ever so gently I insert the pick to the
bottom of the jack

and carefully scratch away at the
compacted dust
to loosen it up. I turn my device a quarter of the way around and repeat the action
I do this several times. After pulling the
pick out,
I flip the pick over so the "bristle end" is
ready to go into the jack,
and carefully I insert it again until
the bristle and touches the bottom.
Here's a visualization I'll use to show
you what I did.
PRETEND this is the bottom of the audio jack
port in your device okay. I gently with my
fingers
spin the pick, in one direction slowly
while attempting to make the tip of the pick move around the bottom of the hole.
This I do to grab the loose dust at the
bottom of the
port, which I scratched loose in the previous
step. On my phone
I repeated this sequence several times until no more dust or lint came out.
Look how much dust I pulled out of mine! When no more dust came out of mine
I plugged in my ear buds and they went in
all the way
for me everything once again worked
perfectly! No more cutting out.
If you found this video helpful in
any way
"please" give it a thumbs up! I'm looking
forward to showing you
more helpful videos that are coming soon
so please subscribe.
And if you do have one of these these micro USB charge ports in your device,
my first video from early 2012 titled "simple
fix"
for "phone not charging" might be of interest. I
hope you'll have luck with yours
and as always, THANKS for watching!
Lindo Mind Control Effects - Divine Delay, Natural Overdrive, Soul Distortion (Quick Overview)
I'm just going to do a quick demo of 3 of these Lindo pedals,
we have the"Natural Overdrive", the "Soul Distortion" and the " Divine Delay"
I've got my amp here behind me set to clean,
so what I want to show you is that if you have just got an amp that only does clean,
you can just put a few of the pedals in front of it and create yourself a 3 channel amp basically.
So what I've done here is I've had a little mess around with these pedals here,
using my overdrive pedal just as a bit of rock rhythm,
distortion then gives me a good hot lead boost,
and then the delay if I need a little bit of delay effect.
So let's just quickly go through them and see what we've got.
See there's your clean ampâ¦..

So we've got a nice overdrive pedal there. A bit biting, let's take a bit of that tone off actually!
There we go let's give that a go.
So there we've got clean ampâ¦..little bit of distortion,
overdrive, that's quite nice that one!
So then you need to get to you "awe I need a lead sound" "awe I'll just step on the distortion pedal now".
And then we go back to clean.
So we've got cleanâ¦.rock rhythmâ¦..and a boosted lead just out of those 2 pedals which is great so,
you just have a single channel amp and then obviously I can stick a bit of delay in there as well, on my lead tone
So 3 great pedals there, a basic clean sound behind me,
and then we've got some killer overdrives and distortions just at the tap of the foot thereâ¦â¦â¦â¦.
Quickly off and back to clean again!
